From garden to table
The garden is a living laboratory, a place of study and inspiration for the creation of unique moments and sensory memories. It is here that a differentiating gastronomic experience is built, aiming at the harmonization between simplicity and sophistication, with Portuguese cuisine marking the senses.
Located in the Owner’s Building is a separate room which can be used for yoga and pilates. Here guests can enjoy private practice or group classes. Another option is the hotel’s outdoor Yoga Pavilion.
Wine & Dine
In keeping with the essence of Comporta, the architecture at Sem Porta finds its inspiration in the local rice storing facilities. Here, a seasonal cuisine of communion and respect for nature is practiced. Our Chef uses regional products, and works with local fishermen and wineries to reinvent typical Portuguese and Alentejo dishes.
In the middle of the Organic Garden you will find the Food Circle – Sublime Comporta’s outdoor “farm-to-table” restaurant, inspired by the principles of permaculture. With a menu based on sustainable production and with fire playing a leading role in the cooking process, people can enjoy an unforgettable experience in direct contact with the chefs and the earth, dining under the stars and surrounded by the aromas of the garden. This dynamic space has room for 12 people seated around the counter.

Worth getting out of bed
One of the most magical moments you can experience awaits you over a horse. Over the hills covered with gnarled pine trees, through neon-green rice paddies, past the traditional Comporta cabana where fishermen’s live, and ultimately over the cinematic dunes and into the Comporta’s deserted beach, plays the setting for this absolutely incredible tour.
Move from sun lounger to lunch to cocktails at this chic beach spot. The menu has classic mediterranean summer fare: grilled local fish, seafood linguine and grilled meats, great local and international wines and cocktails.
A restaurant with a simple and relaxed atmosphere , framed by the Beach and stunning ocean views. Sal offers the best fresh fish and other typical local flavors. Wild beauty continues to be the calling card of this beach and Sal became part of the landscape. The outdoor terrace makes-up the perfect setting for a lunch at the beach.
If your idea of the perfect meal includes swinging in a hammock, toes in the sand with the stunning waters of the Atlantic just meters away, then Comporta Café is the place for you. The relaxed, chill vibe is reflected in the tasteful, yet unpretentious décor. However, it is the stark white Adirondack chairs, cozy hammocks and comfy sofas on the sand that have diners arriving early.
A day trip to Lisbon. In case of bad weather drive an hour north and explore Portugal's capital.
