Where to Stay

- New since summer 2022, Il Capri is a Neo Gothic-style pink palazzo set in the buzzing centre of the island.
- La Minerva Capri offers a beautiful poolside, well designed rooms and is a good choice if you want to be central.
- For a group of 4-8, try snagging this elegant villa overlooking Marina Piccola.
Where to Eat
- Le Grotelle looks out over breathtaking scenery and offers traditional Italian cuisine. It’s very romantic. Via Arco Naturale 3.
- Villa Margherita is a family-owned restaurant with a beautiful terrace. Highly recommend is their tuna, another highlight are the desserts. Via Campo di Teste 4.
- Il Geranio offers some of the best views in Capri. Ask for the homemade pasta with clams. Via Matteotti 8.
- Da Gelsomina is our most beloved restaurant on the island. In fact, it's located in Anacapri. Make sure you get there in time for sunset. Via Migliara, 72.
After Dinner Drinks
- No Capri stay is complete without having a Limoncello on ice at Bar Tiberio on the Piazzetta. Ask for Constantino, the head waiter, and you will be in good hands. Piazza Umberto I.
Where to Dance Until Dawn
- Anema e Core, is the authentic legend of Capri's nightlife. Via Sella Orta 39.

- Da Luigi ai Faraglioni is an authentic Italian Beach Establishment. The vibrant crowd heads to La Fontelina Capri.
How to Get Around
- Renting a boat is the best way to see the island — in particular to get a view of Villa Malaparte — swim, have lunch and get from one place to another. We recommend: Skipper Giorgio.
Don’t Miss Anacapri
- Head to the less crowded Anacapri and iconic beach club Il Riccio for the best sunsets on the island. Its dessert room is spectacular, offering traditional pastries and desserts from Naples and the rest of Italy: babà al rum, torta caprese, tarts, sfogliatelle, delizia al limone, and more.
Do’s and Don'ts
- Avoid Capri's centre during the day when there are hordes of daytime tourists filling the narrow streets.
- Explore its elegant boutiques after 6pm, when the last ferry departs for the mainland and the island is left for locals and overnight guests only. The picturesque Piazzetta is the meeting point before and after dinner.
When to Go
- Off-season is lovely. Our favourite month to visit is September when the sea is at its warmest and the island is less crowded. Avoid August when temperatures and crowds are high.
How to Get to Capri
- The island can be reached by high-speed ferry from Naples (45 min) or helicopter. Some hotels offer a private boat transfer. The nearest international airport is Naples Capodichino.
