Villa Arnica

Lana, South Tyrol, Italy

Villa Arnica

Surrounded by vineyards in the center of the village, the Adults Only Private Retreat with exclusive 4 rooms and 6 suites as well as a picturesque, spacious garden, a pool including pool house and garden-to-table concept invites you to stay for a short or long time. Built around 1925, Villa Arnica was run as a guesthouse until the 1980s. Family Dissertori took over the property in 2019 and had the house as well as the garden renovated in recent months with a sense of history and a penchant for select design. Typical of a historic house, no two rooms at Villa Arnica are alike. The former pension rooms have been transformed into 4 double rooms, 2 superior suites, 3 junior suites and 1 suite with free-standing bathtub. Each room, from 20 sqm2 to 45 sqm2, has been furnished handpicked - with fine flair of Studio Biquadra from Merano.

What to do

Favorite place in the sun: The garden & pool

  • The garden around the pool, which was built in 1968, and the pool house are always blooming from their most beautiful side by the in-house gardener.
Here in the greenery on about 500 square meters is the perfect place to spend the day with a book from the library, swimming and sweet idleness. And for those who want to get out and about, one of the villa's stylish bicycles is a great way to explore the neighborhood.

  • Dream, experience and explore the neighbourhood and the surrounding area. Take a trip to Braunsberg Castle, to Monte San Vigilio, to the Monocle Shop, to the Museion or the Ultental valley.

Good to know

  • Demureness and grace is reflected in the architecture: the villa built in 1925 looks graceful from the outside. The Interior Design Studio Biquadra created the charming inside.

Don't miss

  • If you are into wines visit the Castello Rametz. The wine estate is situated on a hill near to Merano. Between April and November there are guided tours which include a wine tasting experience.

When to go there

  • South Tyrol is an all year round destination. Thanks to its mediterranean climate you have plenty of sunshine in every season.

How to get there

  • Fly to Innsbruck (120 km) or Verona (150 km).
  • Travel in comfort by train, get off at Lana/Postal and the hotel will pick you up from the station.
  • By car: Drive on the motorway (A22) and the exit Bozen south. Take the motorway MeBo in direction Meran. MeBo - exit Lana Burgstall. Drive on direction Lana (left), approx. 1-2 km straightforward the main street.
